These days people are always so busy with work and just life in general, that it may require a business trip or just a family vacation. Travel can be very stressful on an animal, especially if they have never gone anywhere before, if they're a senior, pregnant, or very nervous. As well, certain breeds of pets should not travel by Air as they are more susceptible to breathing difficulties caused by the thin air at high altitudes.
Not to mention the different kinds of medication you should have on hand, different types of vaccines you might require, checking with bylaws to make sure your dog breed is even welcome, making sure your animal is in perfect health (requiring a vet visit) and the list goes on.
This is why I will come and care for your pet in the comfort of it's own home. Trying to follow their routine as closely as possible, making their pet-sitting experience more natural - like you're not even gone! This will give then a sense of security and peace! With me visiting, it also gives a sense of security for your home as well!
I will take care (to the best of my ability) of any pet you may have at home. This will include (but not limited to) love, affection, feeding/fresh water, walking/play, bathroom breaks, light grooming, poop scoop, litter box clean, cage clean, and whatever else you may like me to do. I also offer things for the home as well, like mail/newspaper pick-up, water plants, as well as snow removal/lawn mowing (* but additional fees apply), and just the security of me watching over your place. Additional services - JUST ASK!
Before I pet-sit any animals, I will need to do 'a meet and greet' with you and your pet(s), get you to fill out the pet information form, vet release form, special instructions form and contract agreement. This way I know I am providing the best I can for the animal(s).
**I am not currently trained in pet first-aid/CPR (trying very hard to find this course offered somewhere) but I have created my own pet first-aid kit (which I bring along when visiting pets) and have read up on pet first-aid/CPR, giving me a basic knowledge in the event of an emergency. Although I have taken a human first-aid/CPR course.
